About
Vinkle Srivastav is an Assistant Professor at the Wadhwani School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, IIT Madras. His work lies at the intersection of computer vision and healthcare, with research interests spanning surgical data science, AI-driven healthcare solutions, surgical vision–language modeling, and multi-view analysis of human activity and pose.
Prior to joining IIT Madras, he served as a Research Scientist with the CAMMA group - a collaborative research team between IHU Strasbourg and the University of Strasbourg - where he contributed to advancing research in surgical data science and developing educational modules. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Strasbourg under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Padoy, focusing on unsupervised domain adaptation techniques for human pose estimation in operating room environments.
Earlier in his career, he worked at the NETS Lab at AIIMS Delhi, where he helped develop physical and virtual reality simulators for assessing neurosurgical skills, combining computer vision and graphics techniques. He holds a Master of Science (Research) degree from IIT Delhi.
